Dr Jennifer Pontré

Dr Jennifer Pontré is a specialist gynaecologist with an interest in endometriosis and complex laparoscopic surgery. Her other areas of interest include complex benign gynaecologic disorders such as ovarian cysts and fibroids, menstrual disorders, and colposcopy.

She completed her medical degree through the University of Western Australia and subsequently undertook her specialist training in Western Australia. After obtaining her Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, she undertook a further two year accredited training fellowship in advanced laparoscopic surgery through the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society. She then completed a fellowship year in Gynaecological Oncology at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin, Republic of Ireland.

Dr Pontré currently holds a public consultant position at King Edward Memorial Hospital and is actively involved in teaching, training and research. She has presented at multiple national and international conferences, and has published a number of papers across a range of peer reviewed journals.  In 2019 she was the recipient of a Winston Churchill Fellowship for the study of endometriosis, and to date has been the recipient of a number of research and travel grants, scholarships and awards. She regularly facilitates at the Anatomy of Complications workshop at CTEC.
